Kolchak: The Night Stalker 50th Anniversary Graphic Novel Nominated for a Bram Stoker Award!

It’s been a couple of weeks and I don’t think it’s sunken it yet. I’m a Bram Stoker Award nominee!

When I first started down this long widing road, I didn’t think I’d ever get published…then I got published. I didn’t think I’d ever sell a book…then I sold thousands. But the one thing I truly, never, ever thought would happen was get nominated for an award. That’s something I’ve always put out of my mind…then I got nominated for a Best Graphic Novel Bram Stoker Award for the Kolchak: The Night Stalker - 50th Anniversary graphic novel…then I got two Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards — for Best Graphic Presentation (Kolchak: The Night Stalker - 50th Anniversary) and Best Classic Horror Fiction (Classic Monsters Unleashed). Like my entire writing career, I keep surprising myself. That’s the benefit of having low expectations.

But these are anthologies and they wouldn't be awesome without awesome writers and artists… So a big thanks to everyone involved in these books. The past two years have been a whirlwind as I’ve gotten to work with dozens of incredibly talented people in the horror and comic book community.

By the way, you can vote in the Rondo Awards. Just email your selections to David Colton at taraco@aol.com by Sunday night at midnight, April 23rd. The ballot and more info is here.
